We currently have a role available for a Small Molecule Purification Chemist.

• Identifying, characterizing and purifying small molecule pharmaceutical compounds using analytical and chromatographic techniques (UPLC, HPLC, prep‑LC, SFC, LC‑MS, etc.).
• Accustomed to purifying samples weighing between milligram and over 100 g; completing 50+ samples per week.
• This includes purification of small molecule compounds only; protein, oligonucleotide, and other large molecules are not included.
• Conducting preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on instrumentation as needed.
• Rapidly developing unique and effective methods on LC and SFC.
• Investigating LC‑MS columns/methods for specific projects.
• Working as a team with other chemists, external resources and data management groups.
• Providing critical feedback to improve workflow and chemistry performance and to implement best practices.

• MS in Biochemistry, Chemistry or related field with more than 3 years of pharma laboratory experience outside of academia/academic research, or BS in Biochemistry or related field with more than 5 years of experience.
• Extensive theoretical knowledge of UPLC, LC, LC‑MS and hands‑on experience with Waters and Agilent systems.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
• Works well both within a team and as an individual.
• Demonstration of excellent teamwork, collaboration skills, strong attention to detail, strong problem‑solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions.
• The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self‑motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast‑paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.
