Job Summary
The QC Associate II will test products such as antibodies and proteins in applications including flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, western blotting, ELISA, multiplex immunoassays, and functional bioassays. The candidate will perform all aspects of the assays following SOPs and ISO requirements, culture mammalian cell lines, isolate primary cells, maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, assist with troubleshooting, process improvement projects, and creation/modification of SOPs.
The associate will generate data summaries, provide ETAs, and help train others on specific protocols.
Essential Functions
- Perform testing of products in a timely manner
- Perform aseptic cell culture and isolate primary cells and tissues
- Perform data analysis and document results
- Maintain a safe and clean laboratory
- Assist with troubleshooting projects and generate data summaries
- Support efficiency and process improvement projects
- Train others on specific laboratory protocols
- Other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications – Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline
- Minimum 1 year experience with Flow Cytometry, Western Blotting, Immunoprecipitation, Bioassays, ELISA and IHC/ICC
- >3 years working experience in a laboratory environment
Preferred Qualifications – Education And Experience
- Experience in sterile cell culture technique
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Proven ability to multi‑task - Excellent documentation skills
Work Environment & Physical Demands
The employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer and occasional exposure to a warehouse environment. The role requires use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms, standing, talking and hearing.
Compensation
Base salary range: $24.51 – $31.00/hour. Compensation may vary based on internal equity, location, and other factors.
