Transdev in San Diego, CA is seeking a skilled Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain alternative‑fuel engines across a variety of vehicles and equipment. As a C‑Level Mechanic you will play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our fleet.

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement: $36.25/hr
Plus: $0.25/hr for each primary ASE certification and $0.15/hr for each secondary ASE certification.

• Vacation: up to 14 days per year

• Perform repairs and replacements on engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Assist A‑Level and B‑Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and develop comprehensive repair strategies.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Other duties as required.

• 1+ year of experience as a Mechanic.
• Valid CDL license or willingness to obtain one.
• ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided.
• Mechanic’s tool set.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical exam if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Employee generally spends long periods seated, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
• Work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings.
