The Carpenter is responsible for installing foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using various materials including wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites. The Carpenter measures, cuts, and assembles materials to ensure proper fit and structural integrity. They interpret blueprints and technical drawings to follow project specifications. Carpenters use a range of hand and power tools safely and efficiently. They collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time and within budget.

Ensuring safety standards and building codes are adhered to throughout all phases of work is also a key responsibility.
