We're seeking a Senior Boiler Technician in San Diego Metro to keep high-pressure steam boiler systems running safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Impact

• Ensure uninterrupted steam supply for critical building systems.
• Boost plant performance by fine-tuning combustion and controls.
• Meet environmental and safety standards to avoid downtime or violations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor high-pressure steam boilers and auxiliary systems.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on burners, pumps, and controls.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
• Tune combustion systems for efficiency and code compliance.
• Record maintenance activities and system performance logs.
• Maintain boiler water chemistry and manage blowdown cycles.
• Follow all LOTO and OSHA safety requirements.
• Support inspections, certifications, and third-party service coordination.

Requirements
Must-Haves:

• 5+ years working with high-pressure boilers (e.g., Cleaver-Brooks, Miura, Raypak, Babcock & Wilcox).
• Strong knowledge of boiler controls, combustion, and ASME codes.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proven troubleshooting and maintenance skills.

Nice-to-Haves:

• EPA 608 Universal Certification.
• OSHA 30-hour safety training.
• HVAC or mechanical systems training or certification.
• Experience with BMS or advanced boiler control systems.
