The Refrigeration Mechanic (Air Conditioning) will perform skilled work in the installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of air conditioning machinery and equipment.

• Work Schedule: 12 months per year / 40 hours per week.
• Salary: This position is paid on the OSS Salary Schedule, Grade 048. To view the Salary Schedule, .
• Positions 20 hours per week or greater qualify for District‑paid health and wellnessď benefits for the employee and their eligible dependents.
• Vacancies that require the incumbent to be bilingual in English/Spanish will be noted. Bilingual positions qualify for a 5% bilingual differential.

Education and Experience:

Any combination of training, education, and/or experience equivalent to completion of a recognized air‑conditioner mechanic training program. Two years of directly related experience may be substituted for the training requirement.

NOTE:

Your related education and experience must be clearly represented in the work history and education section of your application.

• Possession of a valid California driver’s license and availability of private transportation (mileage expense allowance provided).
• Possession of a valid Classified II Environmental Protection Agency certificate for handling chlorofluorocarbons (C.F.C.).
• Possession of hand tools common to the trade.
