HR is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems across assigned facilities. This role assists Mobile Engineers with maintenance and repair efforts while independently performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and general facility repairs. The Maintenance Mechanic ensures safe, efficient, and reliable building operations while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Operations
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed building systems and equipment.
  • Complete facility inspections and due diligence assessments, reporting conditions that impact occupant safety and building operations.
  • Perform general interior maintenance including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture systems, and servicing doors.
  • Support the operations team with building and equipment maintenance as directed.
  • Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and materials as needed.
  • Replace lighting fixtures, lamps, and ballasts.
  • Clean HVAC coils and replace filters and belts.
  • Perform exterior and interior repairs including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting.
  • Complete additional maintenance tasks as assigned.
Safety & Compliance
  • Conduct hazard assessments as required.
  • Follow all safety procedures, maintaining clean and safe work areas at all times.
  • Identify safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable state, county, and city codes, ordinances, and regulations.
  • Complete all required safety training on schedule.
  • Practice defensive driving when operating company vehicles.
  • Properly store, use, and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with company policy.
Driving (If Applicable)
  • Maintain a valid state driver's license for mobile assignments.
Administrative & Reporting
  • Submit P-Card receipts daily in accordance with company policy.
  • Update work order status in real time using the CMMS.
  • Utilize CMMS platforms such as 360 Facility to document all work performed.
  • Conduct routine vehicle safety inspections.
  • Escalate operational issues or concerns to the Customer and Manager in a timely manner.
  • Attend required work, safety, and team meetings.
Other Duties
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Training
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Universal EPA Certification NICE TO HAVE
Experience
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in general building maintenance and repair, including basic plumbing and electrical work.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
