Job Description

We’re hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Mariner’s Cove, our 500-home community in San Diego, CA.

At AIR Communities, our Maintenance Technicians are an important part of creating a great experience for our residents. In this role, you’ll put your skills to work across the community, tackling service requests, apartment turns, preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.

You’ll work across a variety of maintenance areas, take on different challenges each day, and be part of a team that takes pride in keeping the community at its best.

We recognize the value experienced maintenance professionals bring to our communities and offer a compensation package designed to reward performance and support long-term career growth:

  • Expected hourly rate of $24.00-$26.00 per hour
    . You will be provided a pay rate that is in line with your skills and experience as they relate to the requirements of the job.

What You Will Do
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to residents and teammates.
  • Complete apartment turns that create exceptional move-in experiences.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, carpentry, and general maintenance issues.
  • Complete service requests efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and support the overall appearance and functionality of the community.
  • Assist with move-in and move-out inspections.
  • Support vendor partners and help maintain quality standards.
  • May provide guidance and technical support to fellow maintenance team members.
  • Participate in a shared rotating on-call schedule to address emergency maintenance needs.

What You Have
  • At least 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in multifamily housing, facilities maintenance, commercial properties, hospitality, military facilities, or a related environment.
  • Hands-on experience in at least two skilled trades
