Test Architect – QA Automation & Performance Engineering (12+ Years Experience)

Role Overview The Test Architect will lead the design, development, and implementation of robust test automation and performance engineering strategies across enterprise-grade applications. This role demands deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience in modern testing frameworks, CI/CD integration, and scalable performance testing.

Key Responsibilities Architectural Leadership:
Define and evolve test automation architecture using tools like Selenium, BDD, Cucumber, and AccelQFramework Development:
Build and maintain automation frameworks for unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end testing.. as well as migration from Selenium to AccelQPerformance Engineering:
Design and execute performance test strategies using JMeter or equivalent tools Load Runner, or cloud-based tools; analyze bottlenecks and optimize application performanceCI/CD Integration:
Embed test automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, or similar platforms

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with architects, developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLCMentorship & Governance:
Guide SDETs and QA engineers, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to testing best practices and security standards

Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain architecture documents, test strategies, traceability matrices, and performance dashboards

Required Skills & Experience

Experience:

12+ years in QA automation and performance engineering.

Automation Tools:
Selenium, BDD, Cucumber, and AccelQ,Performance Tools: JMeter/ Load Runner/ Locust, or cloud-native performance testing platforms

Languages:

Java, Python, Groovy, Type Script.

CI/CD & Dev Ops:
Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, Git, Docker, Kubernetes.

Cloud Platforms:
Azure, AWS (migration experience is a plus)
Frameworks:

Experience with building scalable test frameworks and service virtualization

Soft Skills:

Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management.

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Certifications in automation tools or performance testing.
