Senior/Manager Java Full Stack (SME)
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior/Manager Java Engineer.
The successful candidate will collaborate within a dedicated SWAT Team focused on proactively identifying, investigating, and resolving complex business and technical challenges across the program landscape. We are specifically looking for a highly experienced professional with a strong track record of solving complex problems in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities- Cooperate within SWAT Team, providing expertise in resolving critical business and technical issues.
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to remove blockers and accelerate delivery.
- Provide technical leadership and expert-level guidance within the assigned domain.
- Support architectural discussions, integration initiatives, and modernization efforts.
- Drive best practices across software development, Dev Ops, and operational excellence.
- Leverage AI-enabled approaches and tools throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Required Profile
- Bachelor's in Engineering, IT, Science or technical field
- 5+ years in corporate IT in a similar role
- Demonstrable experience in Java and common Java frameworks
- Subject-matter expert (SME) in their technical domain
- Genuine passion for technology and continuous improvement
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Highly proactive; able to drive issue resolution independently
- Experience working across multiple teams and managing technical dependencies
- Comfortable in fast-paced, complex enterprise environments
- 10+ years commercial experience building web applications (Java + frontend)
- Practical experience with Java 25 and Spring Boot
- REST APIs and SOAP integrations experience
- Knowledge of databases, SQL and SQL Server
- Source code management (Git Hub), CI/CD and automated deployment
- Azure (Cosmos DB, Application Insights, Dev Ops)
- Experience applying AI tools/practices within the SDLC
- Practical experience with Angular or React.js (preferably both)
- Very good English (spoken and written)
- Experience with Guidewire platforms
- Knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Hands-on microservices architecture experience
- Relevant certificates:
Java, Spring, SQL, AWS or Azure - Jutro Digital Platform (JDP)
