Lead Coach - Volo Kids Foundation (San Diego)

Founded in 2010, Volo is a community‑based organization with over 250,000 users across the U.S. Volo creates free youth sports programs through adult social sports, using sports as a tool for healing and community building.

This part‑time role invites you to lead children’s sports programs, ensuring a safe, engaging experience while supporting volunteers and maintaining program operations. The position offers opportunities for advancement.

• Serve as direct contact with kids and families to ensure they have a safe and fun experience
• Plan practice drills using provided resources and curriculum
• Lead both kids and other coaches through program drills in a fun and engaging way
• Move smoothly from one drill to the next to keep players engaged and identify volunteers for downtime
• Conduct pre‑game and post‑game huddles emphasizing sportsmanship and mindfulness
• Set up and clean up the field each week
• Guide volunteers on drills and roles
• Address volunteer concerns about parents, players or venues
• Provide administrative support as needed
• Report any player, parent, referee or coach issues to the site lead

• At least 1 year of coaching or teaching experience
• Attend mandatory staff training

• Passion for sports and social activities
• Outgoing and ready to handle any situation
• Punctual and professional
