Company Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. is seeking a full time Supply Technician II in San Diego, CA.

Job Summary

Provides support in accomplishing material logistical support for Intermediate (I)-level brokered maintenance work in accordance with COMUSFLTFORCOMINST 4790.3, JOINT FLEET MAINTENANCE MANUAL (JFMM), ensuring adherence to production shops WORK INDUCTION BUSINESS AND BROKERING RULES, supply technician standard operating procedures, and MDS process requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Provides material management support to the various Product Lines, and Shops, as assigned.
  • Performs material management support in accordance with NAVSUP, OPNAV and DoD supply instructions, manuals, and publications; data system process guides; and prescribed GSS standard operating procedures.
  • Accomplishes the following tasks during the performance of duties: research, tracking, receiving, issuing, storing and inventory of materials and repair parts.
  • Performs inventory routine counts, validate locations, research and request adjustments for any variances, and resolves errors.
  • Manages Mission Support Material (MSM) and Future Use Material (FUM).
  • Maintains and organizes warehousing of MSM and FUM for easy access, identification, inventory, and transfer or issue to the shops.
  • Processes offloads of excess material per DoD and NAVSUP policies.
  • Researches and provides materials and repair parts requisition requests to Government personnel for Government Furnished Material (GFM) required for Off-Site Shop work.
  • Validates and processes materials and services requests from assigned shops, create Job Material Lists (JMLs), and follow up on requisitions.
  • Assists with the pickup of supplies, materials, and repair parts.
  • Supports personnel shall perform quality assurance (QA) functions (i.e. validate the materials being received are the materials that were ordered, are the correct quantities, are in good condition, and are properly identified and packaged for transport).
  • Monitors material statuses, and takes corrective actions when required.
  • Completes and manages all required, auditable paperwork and records in support of SWRMC GSS material management processes.
  • Obtains access to all computer/web applications required to perform duties, including MSE, WEBFLIS, WEBVLIPS, One Touch Support (OTS), Fed Mall, MRO Tracker, GSA Advantage, Haystack, FEDLOG, and Internet search engines to perform research.
  • Executes material management support responsibilities accurately and efficiently, in accordance with the JFMM, work induction business and brokering rules as well as Production Department directives and memoranda.
  • Orders material requirements timely to support meeting required delivery dates (RDDs).
  • Monitors requisition statuses and expedites or reorder materials as required to meet RDDs.
  • Provides support for material pick-up, receipt, and stowage, as required.
  • Maintains MSM and FUM inventories.
  • Submits Product Deficiency Reports and Supply Discrepancy Reports, when required.
  • Provides shop personnel with updates.
  • Complies with policy on the prevention of unauthorized commitments (UAC’s).
  • Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required when delivering materials and/or transitioning production shops.
Qualifications
  • Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Repair Parts Petty Officer or equivalent
  • Familiar with the Navy''s supply system
  • Experienced in the Navy''s production shop work flow process
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written formats with other activities in the military and civilian communities
  • Ability to be professional in all communications and dealings, including with all internal and external customers
  • Ability to obtain forklift operator’s license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
  • Ability to complete the General Supply Specialist (GSS) Job Qualification Requirement (JQR) within four (4) months of providing direct support
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiar with LEAN concept
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written formats with other activities in the military and civilian communities
  • Sound interpersonal skills needed to interface, coordinate with company personnel, customers, and outside contacts, if appropriate
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and customer’s supply systems
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this role is $31.24 - $39.73 Hourly. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
