Professional Employment Specialist - Northridge, CA (SFV)

Join the Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis to support adults with developmental disabilities in the San Fernando Valley. This role provides comprehensive PAID training and offers a rewarding opportunity to support adults with autism and other intellectual disabilities across multiple locations (Northridge, Reseda, North Hills, Winnetka, Sherman Oaks, North Hollywood, Porter Ranch, Simi Valley, and surrounding areas).

As a Professional Employment Specialist, you will have more than just a job—you will directly impact lives by matching individuals with activities, volunteer work, interests, and/or employment opportunities. Your daily routine may include:

  • Facilitating meaningful community connections
  • Facilitating employment opportunities
  • Supporting individuals at their places of employment or school
  • Assisting with public transportation and providing transportation as assigned
  • Teaching independent life skills
  • Increasing adaptive behaviors
  • Enjoying the work and having fun!
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (minimum)
  • Professional, responsible, reliable attitude
  • Motivation to learn new skills and help people
  • Honesty and respect
  • Adherence to written support plans for clients
  • Reliable automobile, willingness to transport clients
  • Prior training and/or experience in ABA is a plus
  • CPR/First Aid and Pro Act certification to be completed after hire
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, lift 25 lbs
  • Ability to assist with client mobility (e.g., transfers, wheelchair assistance)
  • Valid California Driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Current car insurance proof
  • Completion of Acre Training within first 90 days
