Senior Helpers South Valley is looking for a male caregiver with experience caring for dementia clients. Join our family and provide in‑home care and assistance to elderly individuals in the Encino, CA and San Fernando Valley areas.

$18.00/hr - $20.00/hr

The compensation for this role is $18 to $20 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include accrued paid sick days, flexible hours, career advancement training, and caregiver appreciation activities.

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping duties
• Apparel selection and laundry
• Household management and errands
• Meal planning and preparation
• Medication reminders
• Transportation and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, toileting, dressing, and mobility
• Preparation of sleeping area for overnight situations
• Documenting activities in the Care Plan Binder
• Recording daily hours worked and services performed
• Reporting significant changes with client to office immediately
• Following all policies and procedures as described in the Senior Helpers Handbook

• Must treat clients with dignity and respect
• Must be able to read, write and speak English at an average adult level
• Must be willing to submit to background check per California state law
• Must obtain TB testing prior to engaging with clients
• Must be able to drive and have a valid CA driver's license
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted
