Our client, a leading food and beverage manufacturer, is looking for a skilled Associate R&D Chemist to join their team in San Fernando area of California.

Pay rate: $27- $30/ hr.

• Assist in preparing flavor samples and prototypes for development.
• Perform basic laboratory tasks such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
• Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and observations.
• Clean, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and work spaces to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Assist in the sensory evaluation of samples, using established techniques.
• Follow safety protocols and laboratory procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Order and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies.
• Support senior scientists and flavorists in research and development projects as needed.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and techniques.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• A passion for food and flavor and a keen interest in flavor innovation.
