Staff Accountant

Piper Maddox are supporting a highly successful renewable energy business who are developing, owning, and operating renewable energy assets. With a portfolio of over 200MW and backing from two leading private equity funds they are on a fantastic upwards trajectory.

As a Staff Accountant you will make a real difference as their portfolio continues to expand. In this role, you’ll support daily accounting operations and play a key part in monthly close and financial planning processes. You'll work directly with the VP of Accounting, and support in the development of a robust accounting function.

What You'll Do

• Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper routing and coding
• Onboard new vendors and maintain profiles, including W-9 collection, banking details, and 1099 filings
• Support month-end close: journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Maintain intercompany transactions and reconciliations across multiple entities
• Prepare audit and tax support documentation; assist with external requests
• Assist in cash forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis projects

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (renewable energy or infrastructure experience a plus)
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles
• Passion for clean energy, sustainability, and making a positive impact
