Accounting Manager

We are currently working on a search for a hands‑on Accounting Manager for a great Series B, AI‑SaaS client of ours in San Francisco who is growing rapidly.

This person will be their first accounting hire and help manage the entire accounting function as they scale. The position reports to the CFO and will oversee some clerical staff. This role is a great opportunity for someone to come into an AI company in the early growth phase, roll up their sleeves, and help grow the company. The position will be onsite in San Francisco, CA 5 days a week.

• Own day‑to‑day accounting operations including month‑end close, AP/AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Build and refine accounting processes and internal controls as we scale
• Handle complex revenue recognition for multi‑year enterprise contracts and platform licensing deals
• Partner with the CFO on financial planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives
• Support the transition from outsourced bookkeeping to fully internal finance operations
• Prepare for external audits and establish audit‑ready processes
• Lay groundwork for international expansion accounting requirements

A CPA with Public Accounting experience and 6+ years of experience is required.
