Job Title

Accounting Manager

Role

The Accounting Manager will support the build out from 0 to 1 of the Accounting function working closely with the VP Controller playing a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting during a transformative period for the business.

The Senior Accounting Manager will own month‑end close, support the implementation of financial controls.

The role also includes the build of a team that will own day‑to‑day operational finance support, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and intercompany transactions.

Responsibilities

• Support month‑end close including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting

• Drive significant improvement in the timeliness of the monthly close process

• Support the setup of a group consolidation process with international entities

• Work with the VP Controller in audit preparation and implementation of robust financial controls

• Prepare cash flow forecasts and perform regular balance sheet reconciliations

• Support intercompany transactions and international group consolidations

• Maintain and improve processes for expenses, payroll, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR)

• Ensure data integrity and accuracy

• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance and Operations teams to support ongoing improvements in reporting and compliance

• Build and lead an international team

Qualifications

• Experience in a VC backed scale‑up or multi‑entity environment (ranging from SaaS, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Deeptech)

• Ideally CPA Qualified

• Comfortable working across multiple entities, including international subsidiaries

• Excellent attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving skills

• Enthusiastic, adaptable, and excited to grow in a high‑growth business

• Experience owning day‑to‑day accounting including payroll and AP

Nice to Have

• Experience in a manufacturing business

• Experience in a rapid growth SaaS or AI business

• Experience in Deep Tech (Green Energy, Space Tech, Defense Tech, Bio etc)

Salary

$120,000-$170,000 + bonus + equity
