Description Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their dynamic Finance & Accounting team at their San Francisco headquarters. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys applying their accounting expertise to new challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Perform full-cycle accounts payable processes, including invoice coding, check requests, and weekly payment runs.
- Manage AP disbursement for vendor and contractor payments (ACH, wires, checks).
- Ensure accurate and timely daily invoice processing.
- Review and verify invoice details for validity and proper transaction matching.
- Assist with vendor onboarding, W-9 requests, and maintain vendor master/1099 records.
- Respond to vendor and employee inquiries to resolve payment issues and discrepancies.
- Review AP Aging weekly and resolve outstanding items.
- Coordinate with purchasing for PO-related invoices, ensuring proper 2-way/3-way matching.
- Handle vendor correspondence via phone and email.
- Investigate and resolve invoice and purchase order discrepancies.
- Onsite position at our San Francisco headquarters.

- 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable/payable or general accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
