Fully Remote | $180,000+ Starting Salary | United States
About the OpportunityA leading alternative investment fund administration firm is seeking an experienced SBIC Director to join its growing specialist SBIC practice.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone with strong SBIC, SBA, fund accounting, and alternative investment experience who is looking to take ownership of client relationships, oversee complex fund administration, and lead high-performing teams.
The role is fully remote and offers a starting salary of $180,000+, with the opportunity to play a key role within an established and growing SBIC platform.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the administration of a portfolio of SBIC funds
- Act as a senior point of contact and trusted advisor to clients
- Oversee SBIC fund accounting, financial reporting, and administration
- Review and oversee SBA-related reporting and compliance requirements
- Provide oversight of partnership accounting and Form 1065 reporting
- Support SBA reporting and regulatory submissions
- Review complex accounting matters and ensure accurate, timely deliverables
- Lead, mentor, and develop fund accounting and administration teams
- Work closely with internal teams to resolve technical and client-related issues
- Drive process improvements and best practices across the SBIC practice
- Support client retention and business development initiatives
- Significant experience working with SBIC funds
- Strong understanding of SBA regulations, reporting, and compliance
- Background in fund accounting, fund administration, or alternative investments
- Experience with partnership accounting and Form 1065
- Previous management or leadership experience
- Strong client-facing and relationship management skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- CPA or other relevant professional designation is preferred
- $180,000+ starting salary
