- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Support month-end and quarter-end financial close.
- Prepare and assist with premium tax filings and other state tax reporting.
- Assist with quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Research account discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support regulatory filings, investment reporting, and audits.
- Work with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial partners.
- 4+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong general ledger, reconciliation, and financial reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
- A proactive, curious mindset and willingness to learn.
- Premium tax or multi-state tax filings.
- Property & Casualty insurance accounting.
- Statutory accounting or NAIC reporting.
- Regulatory compliance or financial services.
