The Real Estate Division is comprised of a team of over 220 full time staff delivering professional real estate services to a variety of clients. The Division completes appraisals and analysis of real property considered for City sale, lease, development or acquisition, and acts as a real estate consultant to Departments, the Mayor, and the Board of Supervisors. We have responsibility for:
Acquisition of all real property required for City purposes;
Sale of surplus real property owned by the City;
Leasing of property required by various City departments;
Operations at the Alemany Farmers' and Flea Markets (100 Alemany), and UN Gift Gallery (UN Plaza);
Custodial and engineering services for various City departments at over 60 different locations;
Full service property management services to over 4,000,000 square feet of city-owned offices, including City Hall, 1 South Van Ness Avenue, 49 South Van Ness, San Francisco Police Headquarters, and the Hall of Justice.
The Office of the City Administrator, Real Estate Division, is seeking a dynamic Citywide Campus Manager to lead operations, provide building/property management, and building services across the Mini-Citywide Campus—over 1 million square feet of public facilities including 1011 Turk, 199 Evans, SFPD stations, and Department of Technology sites. This role oversees a diverse team of engineers, tradespeople, and vendors, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality building operations.
The position will supervise staff, coordinate maintenance and capital projects, manage vendor contracts, and serve as the primary liaison with City departments, elected officials, and tenants. Join us and help shape the future of San Francisco’s civic infrastructure.
