Office Administrator/ Coordinator, Office Manager
We’re looking for a proactive and resourceful Workplace Operations Manager to help open and run our new office in San Francisco’s Presidio. You’ll be the day-to-day point person for the space, making sure the office runs smoothly, employees have what they need, and issues are handled quickly and thoughtfully.
You’ll report to the EA & Facilities Manager and work closely with our SOMA Office Manager, IT, Security, and other internal teams. This is a hands‑on role for someone who takes ownership, notices what needs to be done, and has a true “no task too small” mentality.
What You’ll Do- Own day-to-day operations of the Presidio office and serve as the primary point of contact for workplace needs.
- Help coordinate the opening and operational launch of the new office, including supporting change management and helping employees transition smoothly into the new space.
- Proactively identify and resolve maintenance, repair, cleanliness, supply, and general facilities needs.
- Manage workplace vendors and coordinate repairs, maintenance, upgrades, and other onsite projects.
- Partner with IT and Security to troubleshoot issues and ensure employee needs are addressed.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, inventory, and other operational needs.
- Support vendor invoices, workplace spend tracking, and other operational administration.
- Support catering and food & beverage coordination for meetings and team gatherings.
- Plan and execute company events, including vendors, logistics, setup, and day‑of coordination.
- Create a welcoming, well‑run workplace and continually look for ways to improve the employee experience.
- Jump in on miscellaneous workplace needs and projects as they arise.
- 1–3 years of experience in workplace operations, office management, facilities, hospitality, events, or a similar role.
- Highly organized, reliable, and detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through.
- Proactive and solution‑oriented—you notice problems and take initiative to solve them.
- Comfortable working autonomously and managing competing priorities.
- Personable and service‑minded, with strong communication skills.
- Willing to roll up your sleeves and tackle tasks big and small.
- Ideally, naturally handy and comfortable with basic troubleshooting around an office.
- Experience opening, moving, or transitioning teams into a new office is a plus.
