Systems Manager

MyOme’s mission is to provide clinically actionable genetic information to patients throughout their lives. We combine clinical‑grade whole genome sequencing, advanced AI methods for genome interpretation, and seamless digital tools for doctors and patients to order and access results. As our first Systems Manager, you will help define, implement, and operate the computing environment that enables our genomics health platform. You will combine your technical skills and passion for excellent engineering and operations to help build a system to securely store, analyze, and utilize genomic and health information. The scope includes cloud and system administration, security, monitoring, deployments/Dev Ops in AWS and Google Workspace, and cost monitoring and management.

• Comprehensive, hands‑on operations management of our growing computing environment.
• Help define, engineer, and manage our AWS computing infrastructure, including architecture, identity management, security policies and practices, cost reporting, and administration.
• Help with documentation and testing of current code, and identify ways to improve testing strategies.
• Manage our Google Workspace, including account management, onboarding, and off‑boarding.
• Provide general IT support to the company.
• Proactively identify and propose opportunities for cost and operational efficiency.
• Help with Dev Ops improvements, such as secrets management, Git Hub Actions, and deployment monitoring.
• Manage relationships with external service providers.
• Contribute to a supportive atmosphere of collective learning and development.
• Be a well‑rounded generalist interested in our mission and committed to its success.
• Require 2 days a week in the office in SF near Montgomery BART.

• No specific degree or field prerequisite. If you can do the work well and humbly, we want to talk with you.
• Deep experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, networking, and Linux system administration.
• Good familiarity with modern software development, testing, logging, and monitoring;
  Python experience with these is ideal.
• Experience with system‑wide management, orchestration, logging, and monitoring strategies.
• Ability to thrive in a nimble start‑up environment with changing priorities. Know the difference between scrappy one‑off solutions and production‑grade solutions.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace administration is desirable.

• Location: Hybrid role, 2 days a week onsite at our San Francisco, CA office (near Montgomery BART). Occasional travel required for team meetings.
• Compensation: Annual base salary range of $170,000 – $200,000, based on experience.
