Director of Business Operations

This is not your typical operations leadership role.

I'm working on a unique opportunity with an established, employee-owned investment management firm specializing in emerging markets and managing mutual fund strategies.

They're looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial professional who can connect the dots across fund administration, compliance, LLC management, HR, and technology—and help build a stronger, more scalable business.

Reporting to the VP, you'll work across the organization, collaborate with senior leadership, and mentor two Business Managers, with the potential to take on direct management responsibilities as you grow into the role.

What You'll Own

• Fund Administration: Oversee fund operations, financial reporting, service providers, regulatory updates, tax processes, and client due diligence requests
• Business Operations: Manage contracts, product planning, launches, and key initiatives supporting the firm's long-term growth
• Compliance: Contribute to compliance policies, regulatory filings, and committee oversight
• HR & Talent: Coordinate recruiting, onboarding, performance reviews, compensation programs, and employee development
• Technology & AI: Oversee technology infrastructure and information security in partnership with external consultants, and contribute to AI initiatives
• Leadership: Mentor two Business Managers and help build a more efficient, self-sustaining organization
