Job Details Why This Role Matters

As our APM, you’ll be at the center of each project’s financial and administrative work. Working closely with our Project Managers and Senior Project Managers, you’ll have real autonomy and responsibility. You’ll be a trusted project partner, not just support staff. You’ll also lead and collaborate with our Project Administrator to keep budgets, contracts, change orders, and documentation organized and accurate.

If you like the precision of a well‑reconciled budget as much as the craft of a beautifully built home, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Support preconstruction estimating, project start‑up, and contract administration
  • Build bid packages and run side‑by‑side scope comparisons to find the best trade partners
  • Help prepare budget reports, forecasts, and labor tracking metrics
  • Manage subcontract and owner change orders from start to finish
  • Guide the Project Administrator in processing SCOs and PCOs
  • Review and reconcile subcontractor invoices against contracted scopes
  • Own project document control, including RFIs, submittals, drawings, and design decisions in Procore
  • Assemble operation manuals, warranty packages, and closeout documents that set the standard
Who You’ll Work With

You’ll work directly with clients, owner’s representatives, architects, and trade partners. With guidance from your PM, you’ll handle financial updates, technical questions, and sensitive project communications with professionalism and a focus on solutions.

What You Bring
  • 3+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or in a similar role
  • A bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Strong skills in Excel and Procore. Experience with Trimble Spectrum or Sage 300 is a plus
  • Confidence reading and interpreting architectural drawings
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication
  • The ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment
  • Commuting distance to our San Francisco office and a valid driver’s license for occasional jobsite travel
You’ll Thrive Here If You:
  • Bring sound judgment and take ownership of your work
  • Are curious and eager to learn new things
  • Lead with integrity and transparency
  • Treat clients, partners, and teammates with respect
  • Take pride in work that meets a high bar
