Multimedia Journalist – Spectrum News

Location:

San Francisco, CA

Base pay range: $90,000.00 – $ per year.

Applicants must be able to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment‑based immigration sponsorship.

• Pitch, write, shoot, interview, and edit stories across television, connected TV, and digital platforms.
• Own each step of the storytelling process, from concept to final edit.
• Collaborate with a team to deliver timely, accurate coverage that connects with local viewers.
• Engage with community members to uncover unique perspectives.

• Connecting with neighbors while staying on top of local issues.
• Working across multiple platforms: TV, connected TV, and digital.
• Flexible deadlines that support a healthy work‑life balance.

• Experience:
  
  3+ years in print or television news reporting.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or related field; or comparable experience.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to shoot video, edit using standard software, and use social media effectively.
• Communication:
  Strong on‑camera presence, writing, and verbal expression.
• Physical:
  Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Travel:
  Willingness to travel locally to cover stories and engage with the community.
• Schedule:
  
  Ability to work under pressure, flexible shifts, and weekends or holidays during breaking news or severe weather events.
• Valid driver’s license for authorized driving within your state of residence.

• Work inside a climate‑controlled environment and outdoors year‑round, possibly in extreme heat or cold.
