UI​/UX Designer

Lumeria (YC S26) is building a product experience that helps make advanced skin imaging feel approachable for everyday consumers. In this onsite role in San Francisco, you will design and implement parts of the Lumeria app’s digital user experience, working closely with customers, founders, and engineers to refine the product through hands-on iteration.

• Design and continuously improve the UI/UX of the Lumeria app.
• Speak with customers to understand pain points, needs, and feedback.
• Turn customer and internal feedback into actionable design improvements

• Test and iterate on designs based on user feedback and internal feedback.
• Own projects from initial problems through design and into implementation.
• Bring a strong creative, artistic eye that goes beyond traditional UI/UX.
• Create original visual elements and illustrations hands-on, digitally (iPad/tablet) or through physical sketching and drawing.
• Work across the digital user experience, including design and front-end implementation
  , with an emphasis on clarity and ease of use.
• Experiment with illustrations, graphics, interactions, and other creative details that make the experience feel human and memorable.
• Find creative ways to simplify complex skin data and technology.

• 1+ year of experience in UI/UX, product design, front-end development, or a related role.
• Strong visual design skills and a genuine passion for UI/UX.
• Proficiency in Figma
  , Adobe Illustrator
  , and Photoshop

• Ability to move from initial concepts and ideas through to implementation.
• Comfort speaking and communicating with customers, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to understand and translate feedback from customers and team members into design improvements.
• Comfort working hands-on in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.

• Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
• JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS

• Knowledge of JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience implementing your own designs on the front end.
• Strong artistic ability, including illustration, sketching, or creating original visual assets digitally or by hand.
• Experience creating illustrations and other visual elements.
• Interest in experimenting beyond traditional UI/UX, including illustration, graphics, motion, and creative interactions.

• USD 86, per year
