The Producer is dedicated to software product and related studio initiatives. You'll partner with Reality Labs (RL) Design software teams to produce the design work that ships in product, and with internal and external groups on work that supports the design studio's initiatives. The role covers scoping, resourcing, schedules, budget, vendors and freelance talent, and the review cadence that brings product design work to leadership.
This role suits a seasoned producer who is comfortable running several software programs at once, working to release cycles, and turning ambiguous creative intent into a plan, a team, and a shipped outcome.
- 8+ years of production or creative program management experience
- Experience producing design work for shipped software products
- Demonstrated fluency in the software and visual design process (UX, UI, motion, and interactive prototyping) and in how design work moves through engineering to release
- Experience working to software release cycles and partnering closely with product management and engineering
- Experience running multiple concurrent programs with competing priorities in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Experience managing budgets, vendors, and contracts
- Experience communicating project status, risks, and creative rationale to executive stakeholders through written pre-reads, presentations, and live reviews
- Experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Principle, or similar
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Experience producing content and logistics for executive-level reviews and high-visibility product launches
- Experience working in a design studio or creative agency
- Experience producing design work for AR, VR, or XR products
- Experience partnering with hardware and software teams on integrated product development
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
