Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Senior Product Designer – Mid-Market Industry Solutions (Healthcare)

At Intuit, the Mid‑Market team is on a mission to ensure customers can grow with us as their business grows. We will disrupt the small business mid‑market (Big Bet
5) by transforming Quick Books from a self‑serve accounting tool into a sales‑led, done‑for‑you suite of powerful operational solutions tailored to growing businesses. Delivering a sophisticated, deeply customer‑centric product experience is key to our success. Our designers are involved in every step of the process — from discovery and ideation to experimentation and launch — using data, AI, and deep customer empathy to craft remarkable experiences.

As a Senior Product Designer on the Industry Solutions team, you’ll play a critical role in shaping how Quick Books expands into new verticals — starting with healthcare. You'll craft intuitive, end‑to‑end workflows and platform experiences that help healthcare practices and professionals manage their operations with confidence. From appointment workflows and billing complexities to compliance‑heavy processes and multi‑stakeholder collaboration, you will translate a highly regulated, nuanced industry into elegant, scalable product solutions.

You’ll design experiences that feel purpose‑built for how healthcare providers operate today — while anticipating future needs as practices grow. Your work will bring clarity to complex workflows, elevate our design craft across the product, and partner deeply with cross‑functional peers to deliver outcomes that matter.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of end‑to‑end workflows tailored to healthcare professionals, including scheduling, billing, operational insights, and practice management needs.
  • Translate complex, compliance‑sensitive healthcare domains into intuitive, scalable design patterns that integrate seamlessly with the broader Quick Books platform.
  • Balance vertical specificity with platform scalability, ensuring solutions feel purpose‑built while still extensible to additional industries over time.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams — product managers, engineers, researchers, and other designers — to define and deliver high‑impact, customer‑driven solutions.
  • Design and iterate across multiple levels of fidelity, from system‑level frameworks to detailed, pixel‑perfect UI.
  • Apply AI‑native thinking to streamline and automate customer workflows, leveraging Intuit’s data and generative AI capabilities.
  • Conduct and synthesize user research to deeply understand industry‑specific needs and inform design decisions.
  • Champion craft and quality, holding a high bar for visual polish, interaction excellence, and design consistency across experiences.
  • Advocate for customers throughout the design process — from hypothesis to experimentation to implementation.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure design intent is accurately realized in the final experience.
  • Mentor peers and help evolve Intuit’s design systems to support vertical‑specific use cases.
  • Deliver user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and pixel‑perfect specs for development.
  • Articulate design rationale using customer insights, industry expertise, and data to drive alignment and decision‑making.
  • Solicit feedback and contribute constructively to design reviews.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of hands‑on experience in product design, interaction design, service design, or a related discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience designing for complex, multi‑layered platforms and owning end‑to‑end workflow experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to design for regulated, domain‑heavy industries (healthcare preferred but not required).
  • Strong foundation in design principles, systems thinking, and user‑centered methodologies.
  • Exceptionally high attention to detail, craftsmanship, and interaction design.
  • Proven experience partnering deeply with cross‑functional partners in product and engineering.
  • Strong communication and storytelling abilities — able to clearly articulate design decisions and inspire alignment.
  • A portfolio showcasing complex problem‑solving, high‑quality craft, and an ability to deliver impactful, scalable product experiences.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a drive to push innovation forward through experimentation and continuous learning.
