Product Designer, Creative Design / Digital Art
Stride Health is looking for a Director of Product Design to lead our small (and growing!) team of talented Product Designers as we craft delightful mobile-first solutions that help people who work for themselves be more productive and successful. This individual must be a tireless advocate for the customer and their needs, love the challenge of breaking down complex problems and tasks into simple, easy-to-use UX, and hold a high bar for all aspects of the design process.
They’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Data Scientists, Marketers, and Customer Support to develop and execute a design process that enables us to deliver on an ambitious but exciting product roadmap.
- Lead the Product Design team in executing on our product vision and roadmap
- Develop our Design capabilities internally through people, culture, and process: coaching and mentoring Product Designers, being the champion for our customer cross-functionally, and establishing a design process that consistently delivers innovative solutions to our customers’ problems
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to define priorities and manage design schedules and resource allocation across multiple work-streams
- Be the owner on Design quality and consistency across our entire product ecosystem
- 10+ years in a consumer software design role
- 5+ years of Design management experience
- BA/BS degree in Design (interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, related field or equivalent practical experience; MS or advanced degree a plus
- In-depth experience designing mobile-first with a focus on native platforms
- Experience cultivating a highly collaborative, creative, and customer-centric culture within the Design team and cross-functionally
- Experience developing a high-performing Product Design team through hands-on coaching and mentoring
- A world-class creative director with the ability to work cross-functionally with Marketing and think strategically about how the user experience reinforces the company brand
- Knack for turning complex problems and tasks into simple, easy-to-use UX
- Experience designing for highly personalized, data-rich experiences
- A terrific attitude, strong communication skills, and energy to spare
