The Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine invites applications for the following faculty position:
General . We are seeking a faculty member at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor, who possesses extensive expertise in the management of general infectious diseases. During the first year or more, the faculty member will likely need to attend on the hospital medicine inpatient services. The time committed to inpatient services will decrease over time, with the goal that all work will be in general infectious diseases.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in patient care activities across both inpatient and outpatient settings, including inpatient consult services (both teaching and non‑teaching) at UCSF Health and the UCSF Health General c.
- Active participation in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Opportunities for engagement in a variety of creative activities such as clinical research, leadership roles in clinical settings, quality improvement initiatives, and medical education development.
Support and Development:
The faculty member will benefit from comprehensive mentorship and robust faculty development programs designed to foster career growth and professional satisfaction.
- MD, DO, or MD‑PhD degree from an LCME‑accredited medical school.
- Completion of an Internal Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in California.
- Board certification or eligibility in Infectious Diseases.
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step minimum base salary range for this position is $127,000 – $333,700. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides eligibility for additional compensation.
