The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a dynamic, skilled, and influential Leader to serve as Medical Director of the UCSF Birth Center at UCSF Mission Bay and to educate the next generation of Ob/Gyn clinicians as faculty within our nationally acclaimed academic program. This leader will oversee the clinical, educational, and operational functions of the unit, including the Obstetrical Emergency, Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, and Postpartum units - coordinating high-risk, high-acuity obstetric care.
Additionally, this leader will ideally develop an outpatient practice within a UCSF prenatal care site. This role is an approximate 50/50 Administrative/Clinical split.

What We re Looking For:
- A proven leader with an interest and expertise in mentorship, education, and administrative responsibilities.
- Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Completion of a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship preferred, but not required.
- 6+ years of post-residency experience managing high-acuity obstetric care in a high-risk subspecialty such as Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Hospitalist, or Critical Care required.
- MD, DO, or MBBS
- An active and unrestricted California license by the time of hire.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step Table 5. The
minimum base salary range for this position is $161,700-$344,400. This position includes membership in the
health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. UCSF Obstetrics,
Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences has a total salary plan that uses National benchmarking standards to set
salaries by subspecialty.
