Behavioral Classroom Aide

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a dedicated? Behavioral Classroom Aide? to provide behavioral support services in a school setting. This role is essential in helping students succeed academically and socially by reinforcing positive behaviors, assisting teachers, and creating a safe, supportive classroom environment.

• Support students with behavioral needs in classroom and school activities.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of teachers and specialists.
• Assist with classroom management to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Provide one‑on‑one or small group support to students as directed.
• Document observations and progress to share with the educational team.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to promote student success.
• Ensure compliance with school policies and safety standards.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree in behavioral studies or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current TB skin test or chest X‑ray.

• Experience working with children or adolescents in educational or behavioral settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a commitment to student success.
