OverviewSummer Camp at the JCCSF offers one‑week to three‑week sessions in both the traditional day camp and specialty camp settings for campers in grades K‑8. Summer Camp is in session June 1–August 21. Our classic day camps feature arts & crafts, STEAM projects, and sports. Specialty camps include visual arts, nature exploration, musical theater, science, and more.

: $25.00 – $26.00 per hour.

Youth & Family office on‑site at the JCC.
Hours
:
Up to 25 hours in May – In‑person leadership training 5/26‑5/29; 37.5 hours per week (6/1/26 – 8/21/26).
- Front‑of‑office staff; interact with families via phone and email.
- Update camp schedules and coordinate session welcome emails.
- Help update attendance and track staff schedules and changes.
- Assist unit heads as needed and support camper pick‑up process.
- Track camp activities, campers, supplies, and med‑bag contents.
- Plan and organize camp‑specific exhibits, performances, and other activities.
- Maintain lost‑and‑found and record incident reports.
- Model appropriate behavior for campers and staff; attend to ill campers and contact families.
- Additional responsibilities as required.
- Member of camp leadership team.
- Help organize and lead portions of staff training.
- Respond to crisis situations appropriately.
- Create and track staff schedules and med‑bag room assignments.
- Answer camp phone hotline and keep office organized.
- Assist with medication check‑in and support office staff.
- Highly organized with a strong professional demeanor.
- Experience working with children 5‑14 years old, preferably in a camp setting.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.
- Knowledge of social media etiquette and excellent customer service skills.
- Dedication to and enthusiasm for working in camp, informal education, and youth programs.
- Knowledge of summer camps.
- Ability to work well both in a team environment and independently.
Will be working directly with staff, incoming campers and families. The primary location will be the Youth & Family office on‑site at the JCC.
Physical Requirements- Enthusiasm, flexibility, and ability to improvise.
- Seated or standing use of a computer throughout the day.
June 1, 2026 – August 21, 2026; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday.
