Social Impact Coordinator

Job Type: Full-time (10-month position)

Reports To: Director of Collaborative Programs

Salary: Salary is based on a scale that is tied to years of relevant experience. Current full-time instructor salaries run from $83,995-$162,757.

Job Summary

The Social Impact Coordinator plays a vital role in nurturing our students' understanding of social responsibility and empowering them to be agents of positive change. This dynamic position involves supporting and expanding our social impact curriculum, facilitating purposeful service‑learning opportunities, and building strong community partnerships. The ideal candidate is passionate about youth development, social impact, and possesses excellent organizational and communication skills.

This role reports to the Director of Collaborative Programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum & Program Support:
    • Provide dedicated support for the social impact curriculum, assisting with lesson planning, project development, and student engagement.
    • Manage and support social impact service initiatives, guiding students through the process from conception to execution and reflection.
    • Partner with class deans and mentors on implementing the social impact curriculum and initiatives.
  • Partnership Development:
    • Manage and build robust partnerships with local non‑profit organizations, identifying opportunities for collaboration and ensuring mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Service Learning Facilitation:
    • Organize and facilitate service opportunities for various groups, including grade levels, student clusters, or special interest groups, ensuring alignment with educational objectives and community needs.
    • Maintain a database of service opportunities for students engaging in individual service.
    • Maintain and improve systems to track student participation in social impact work.
  • Speaker &

    Education:
    • Identify, recruit, and coordinate engaging speakers (in‑person or virtual) to address various social impact topics relevant to our students and school community.
  • Communications & Outreach:
    • Develop and execute communication strategies to highlight social impact work, including regular updates on social media channels and a monthly newsletter that showcases social impact work.
    • Develop and maintain a system to promote service opportunities to students and their families.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Community Development, Public Policy).
  • Experience in program coordination, community engagement, or education, preferably in a school or youth‑focused setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development, teaching, or facilitation is preferred.

  • Demonstrates experience in partnership building and relationship management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in using social media for professional communication and outreach.
  • Exhibits strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates a passion for social justice, community service, and youth empowerment.
