We are seeking a Designer who will be responsible for generating designs of mechanical, electrical, process, and controls systems. She or he will perform calculations and prepare equipment or material specifications.

• The Designer provides technical support to engineering and operation departments.
• Assist in development, specifications, and scopes of work to complete various projects.
• Provide assistance in development of projects and execution or document control and maintenance of quality documents in his/her area of responsibility, customer visits and related team involvement.
• Assist senior engineers on projects as directed, read and interpret documents such as engineering codes (state or city), engineering specifications (owner). Understand procedure manuals.
• Speak effectively before groups of customers both internal and external.
• Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
• Deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases, and deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
• Design, develop, and implement custom engineered solutions meeting customer product specifications and all industry and regulatory requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
• Research and obtain standards/codes required by client and jurisdiction through interaction with necessary personnel (PM, PE, etc.) to accurately and efficiently develop above-noted plan.
• Work as a team player and interact well with others.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Form working relationship with internal and external customers.
• Complete drawing/project responsibilities within scope, budget and schedule; review drawings for completeness and accuracy.

• B.S. in Engineering or related field from an accredited university OR 3-5 years of proven design experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, semiconductor, or laboratory industries.
• 0-3 years of professional experience.
