Overview
Vibration & Environmental Test Technician
Full-time onsite role in the San Francisco Bay Area
Industry: Aerospace / Satellite Systems & Environmental Testing
Working with a quick-moving aerospace team building flight-ready propulsion and spacecraft hardware. Everything here is data-driven, precise, and built to survive launch and orbit.
What you’ll do- Set up and execute sine, random, and shock profiles on electrodynamic shakers
- Operate test controllers and LabVIEW interfaces
- Instrument fixtures with accelerometers, load cells, and strain gauges
- Build and calibrate DAQ systems for clean, traceable data
- Collect, analyze, and flag anomalies in test results
- Maintain shakers, controllers, and lab hardware in top shape
- Support full environmental qual testing for spacecraft and propulsion
- Help document results and prep reports
- 2+ years hands-on with vibration or environmental testing
- Experience with shakers, vibe controllers, and electrodynamic systems
- Ability to read drawings and follow procedures exactly
- Solid grasp of test data trends and performance assessment
- Comfort in structured, high-precision lab settings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-810, NASA GEVS, or similar standards
- Thermal vacuum (TVAC) or chamber experience
- Qualify hardware that actually flies to space
- Work hands-on with high-value test systems in a controlled lab
- Partner with sharp engineers from aerospace and defense
- Gain exposure to vibe, shock, and thermal test setups
