Position: Contract Manufacturing Lab Engineer
We’re looking for a self‑motivated and detail‑oriented lab technician to test, troubleshoot, and repair Cytovale instruments and associated hardware. You will work cross‑functionally as a key member of the manufacturing lab team to help us ensure we are placing high‑quality instruments at our customers.

Responsibilities

• Test our IVD system in‑house, following instructions provided by the engineering teams

• Perform troubleshooting and repairs of systems

• Carefully document actions and activities, using good‑documentation‑practices (GDP)

• Organize and maintain our facilities, tools, and related supplies

• Provide feedback to engineers regarding build design and instructions

• Provide feedback to engineers regarding design and process improvement projects

Qualifications

• A B.S. in mechanical, electrical, biomedical engineering or a related field and 1+ years professional experience assembling and/or testing complex systems. Candidates with a different degree and 5+ years in a similar position in IVD service/manufacture/test will also be considered.

• Proficiency with tools and equipment commonly used in a hardware manufacturing and test environment, such as hand tools, power tools (electric/air), measurement tools, and electrical tools (multimeter and similar)

• Comfort working with Cytovale’s engineering‑use‑only software tools

• Experience with log review, data analysis and graphing (e.g., python) to review trends and help with troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in reading, comprehending, executing, and documenting records for technical documents, such as assembly SOPs and test processes.

• Good organizational skills as well as written/verbal communications skills

• Knowledge of electrical circuits, mechanical components, and sensors commonly used in IVD systems or automation systems is a plus

Working Conditions

Onsite Role (5 days onsite)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
