We are looking for a Data Analysis Engineer with deep expertise in photonics, statistical analysis, and large‑scale data interpretation. In this role, you will extract actionable insights from device, module, and system‑level datasets to optimize performance, drive yield improvements, and accelerate product development. You’ll collaborate closely with design, test, and fabrication teams to enhance reliability and manufacturability throughout the product lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze complex datasets from photonic devices, modules, and systems to reveal trends, correlations, and performance drivers.

• Develop algorithms, models, and metrics to evaluate system behavior, reliability, and yield.

• Apply statistical methods and machine learning techniques to identify sources of variability and improvement opportunities.

• Build dashboards, automated pipelines, and visualization tools to monitor performance and report insights.

• Partner with design, test engineering, and fabrication teams to understand interactions between design choices and manufacturing processes.

• Translate data‑driven insights into actionable recommendations for design and production workflows.

• Support performance optimization, yield enhancement, and failure analysis through quantitative methodologies.

• Document and communicate findings to cross‑functional teams and leadership effectively.

What We’re Looking For

• B.S. or M.S. in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• 5–10 years of experience in photonics, data analysis, or semiconductor manufacturing.

• Strong foundation in statistics, signal processing, and Six Sigma methodologies.

• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, R, or comparable analytical tools.

• Experience with JMP or other statistical software platforms.

• Knowledge of photonics or optical communication systems.

• Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, including design and fabrication.
