Your OpportunityThe Senior Healthcare Mechanical Engineer/Project Lead will allow you to apply building mechanical engineering principles, your superior client service skills, and project management best practices to deliver projects that meet project requirements, exceed client expectations, and meet project financial and other objectives. Working within our thriving buildings practice, you will contribute to project delivery standards and work processes, provide quality control, workload forecasting, financial performance accountability, and collaboration with other disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of healthcare projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, including healthcare providers, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations to ensure successful execution.
- Work collaboratively with project leaders, architects, design partners, peers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables and success metrics, and develop innovative and practical solutions, and meet the project’s conditions of satisfaction.
- Lead cross‑functional teams, facilitating communication and collaboration to achieve project milestones.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address challenges proactively.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, quality standards, and best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes.
- Engage with external partners, including vendors and regulatory agencies, to ensure compliance and integration of project design.
- Establish strong relationships with healthcare providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure design alignment with project objectives.
- Lead the mechanical design for healthcare facility projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project requirements are met.
- Apply critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to assess project variables and develop reliable design solutions independently.
- Prepare detailed design documents, specifications, and reports.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare design standards and regulations.
- Participate in/lead project meetings and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Successfully manage projects and tasks of a scope, complexity, and revenue budget appropriate to experience.
- Provide oversight for Mechanical Engineering staff.
- Actively contribute to the overall technical growth of the mechanical team.
- Meet technical, contractual, schedule, budgetary, and client service objectives for each project.
- Apply strong mechanical engineering skills, experience, and knowledge to the design and oversight of the design for building projects.
- Manage and plan the production resources and workflow to produce the design documentation, drawings, and calculations required for mechanical engineering projects.
