What You’ll Do:

  • Work with our account executives to plan, prepare and execute deals in complex and technical sales cycles.
  • Deliver clear presentations and demos that communicate the product uniqueness and the problems it solves
  • Manage the technical aspects of the entire sales cycle, including Proof of Concepts/Value
  • Understand and communicate customer needs to the product teams for future product enhancements.
  • Build solutions to fill gaps and enhance the core product
  • Know the Observability and log management markets well and be able to help customers choose the right solutions for them.
  • Be active on internal and external Slack channels
  • Present at conferences, meetups, podcasts, live streams etc.
  • Go the extra mile to help ground cover disrupt the observability market, by offering thoughts, insights, and suggestions on how we can improve our go to market efforts, and improve the offering.
  • Ability to attend in-person events and meetings - and work in office
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a Solutions Engineer or Sales Engineer role – must
  • 2+ years of observability experience, with a deep understanding of commercial vendors such as Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk, Sumologic, Coralogix, and open source tooling such as Elastic, Loki, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.
  • A ‘can do’ and ‘must win’ attitude, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to help build whatever is needed to improve our chances of winning business
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native environments and modern infrastructure, including Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, Open Shift, and observability data sources like Cloud Watch, Open Telemetry, Fluentd/Fluent Bit, and Prometheus
  • Proven customer-facing experience – confident, articulate, and able to lead technical conversations both in-person and over Zoom
  • Consultative and analytical, with an ability to identify and solve complete processes and infrastructure
  • Willingness and enthusiasm for frequent travel
  • Experience as a developer - advantage
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in related discipline. Science or Engineering degree preferred.
