Systems Engineer, Electrical Engineering
Wanna join the adventure?
As an RF Systems Engineer at Loft Orbital, you will play a pivotal role in the integration of RF subsystems for our high-reliability satellite systems. You work with our RF team across campuses to collaboratively develop, integrate, and test sub-system and system-level solutions for our satellites. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the success of our space mission.
You’ll join a talented, multi-disciplinary team working on the latest space technology, where your contributions will directly shape the future of space missions. This is an exciting opportunity to innovate, collaborate, and make a significant impact on mission-critical systems.
About this Role:- System-Level RF Architecture & Design - Contribute to the definition of end-to-end RF system architecture and requirements, ensuring compatibility with mission constraints and performance goals.
- End-to-End Performance Analysis - Perform RF link budget analysis and system-level trade-offs to evaluate performance under various mission scenarios.
- Requirements Engineering / Traceability - Support requirements definition, flow-down, and traceability from mission-level needs to RF subsystem specifications.
- EMI/EMC Knowledge - Identifying and mitigate potential EMI/EMC issues through design reviews and validation testing.
- Test Campaign Support - Support the execution of RF test campaigns with our AIT teams, including test planning, documentation, and reporting of verification results.
- Scripts, Tools and Simulation - Ability to develop scripts and low-level software for debugging and test purposes (proficiency in Python and C is a strong asset). Utilize modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, CST, ADS) to validate designs and predict system performance.
- Cross-functional Communication - Act as a technical interface between RF, software, mechanical, system, Ground and AIT teams to ensure smooth integration and alignment with program objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred
