Marine Engineer – Kamewa Waterjets + MTU
Location: San Francisco Bay Area Engagement: Contract or Long Term Vessel Size: 30m class
Experienced marine engineer sought for recommissioning and ongoing systems oversight on a private 30m vessel using Kamewa waterjets and MTU propulsion
. Industrial backgrounds (fast ferries, patrol craft, tugs, workboats) strongly preferred.
- Recommission propulsion, hydraulics, and jet controls
- Inspect & prepare underwater mechanical interfaces
- Replace jet-control feedback cables and underwater hoses
- Oversee yard work & manage contractors
- Optional: vessel operations (Master 100T minimum)
- Direct hands-on Kamewa experience mandatory
- MTU engine experience
- Strong hydraulic & diagnostic skills
- Independent, professional communicator
