About the Opportunity: LVI Associates is working exclusively with a highly respected structural engineering firm in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our client is recognized for delivering innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions for multifamily housing projects, including mid-rise and high-rise developments. They are seeking a Structural Project Engineer / Project Manager to join their growing team and play a key role in shaping the future of urban housing.
Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Manage structural engineering design and oversee multifamily housing projects from concept through construction.
- Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service and timely delivery.
- Technical Expertise: Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications using advanced analysis tools.
- Team
Collaboration:
Coordinate with architects, developers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of structural systems. - Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, fostering professional growth within the team.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to California Building Code, seismic design requirements, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- California PE license (or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe).
- 5+ years of experience in structural design and project management, ideally in multifamily housing.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (ETABS, SAP
2000, RISA, RAM, etc.). - Strong knowledge of seismic design principles and local building codes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
