Our mission is to create advanced robots that can operate in complex environments, reducing human risk in conflict zones and enhancing efficiency in labor-intensive industries.
We are on the lookout for extraordinary engineers and scientists to join our team. Your previous experience in robotics isn't a prerequisite — it's your talent and determination that truly count.
We expect that many of our team members will bring diverse perspectives from various industries and fields. We are looking for individuals with a proven record of exceptional ability and a history of creating things that work.
Our CultureWe like to be frank and honest about who we are, so that people can decide for themselves if this is a culture they resonate with. Please read more about our culture here: (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below)..
Who should join- You like working in person with a team in San Francisco.
- You deeply believe that this is the most important mission for humanity and needs to happen yesterday.
- You are highly technical - regardless of the role you are in. We are building technology; you need to understand technology well.
- You care about aesthetics and design inside out. If it's not the best product ever, it bothers you, and you need to “fix” it.
- You don't need someone to motivate you; you get things done.
- Assemble and test robotic subsystems and full systems with precision and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with engineers to interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
- Provide feedback on build challenges and suggest process improvements or design changes.
- Assist with documentation, including work instructions, BOMs, and test procedures.
- Support rapid prototyping, iteration, and hardware validation efforts.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues during the build process; help root out causes and propose solutions.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe assembly and test environment.
- Partner with supply chain and operations teams to evaluate components and materials.
- 3-5+ years hands‑on experience assembling electromechanical systems
- Experience troubleshooting/debugging a electromechanical system
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical tools (e.g., soldering irons, torque drivers, multimeters).
- Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with hardware testing and validation processes
- Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effective communicator and team collaborator.
- Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and eager to contribute beyond the bench.
- Associate degree required; a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field is a plus.
- Prior experience building robots or complex hardware systems in school, labs, or internships is a plus.
- Exposure to CAD tools (e.g., Solid Works, Onshape) or version control systems is a plus.
- Experience with robotics hardware: actuators, sensors, PCBs, etc. is a plus.
We provide market standard benefits (health, vision, dental, 401k, etc.). Join us for the culture and the mission, not for the benefits.
The annual compensation is expected to be between $115,000 - $140,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
