Sr Structural Engineer (Data Centers) – Jacobs
Apply for this role as a Senior Structural Engineer in our Advanced Manufacturing team. The position focuses on structural engineering assignments for Data Centers, including new builds, retrofits, colocations, and more.
Base pay range$/yr – $/yr
Responsibilities- Perform a variety of structural analysis and create computer models for structures.
- Conduct member design calculations, foundation design, material take-offs, and miscellaneous calculations.
- Assist with schedules and coordinate designs with other Jacobs offices and internal professionals.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and designers on capital projects of various sizes.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 8+ years of professional structural engineering experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer with ability to become registered in additional states.
- Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, and S3D.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
- Familiarity with ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other relevant design codes and standards.
- Knowledge of building codes.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite and MS Teams.
- Ability to travel 10–20% to client sites.
- Master of Science in Engineering.
- Experience with industrial‑metal projects (casting, rolling, or similar).
- Leadership experience delivering commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations.
