As a leader in MMR design, Hadron builds factory‑produced, transportable microreactors that provide 24/7 carbon‑free power for data centers, government facilities, industrial sites, and remote communities.
This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Civil Engineer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The position is ideal for candidates with strong technical expertise in civil, site, and infrastructure design who are passionate about supporting the deployment of next‑generation clean energy systems.

Responsibilities- Lead and support site design, grading, drainage, and foundation engineering for microreactor deployments
- Develop civil design drawings, specifications, and reports in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct geotechnical and site feasibility assessments for new reactor locations
- Design and analyze foundations, support pads, and structural interfaces between the reactor module and site infrastructure
- Coordinate with environmental and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal permitting requirements
- Support transportation, logistics, and constructability planning for modular system deployment
- Review and interpret survey data, topographic maps, and geotechnical reports
- Collaborate with structural and architectural teams on integrated plant layouts
- Interface with contractors and engineering partners during construction and installation phases
- Prepare and maintain documentation for design packages, project approvals, and regulatory submittals
- Contribute to internal design reviews and risk assessments to ensure safety, quality, and cost‑effectiveness
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in site development, civil design, or infrastructure engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in civil and structural design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, STAAD Pro, or similar tools)
- Knowledge of geotechnical principles, concrete and steel design, and construction methods
- Familiarity with ASCE, ACI, and AISC standards and local building codes
- Experience with permitting, environmental impact, and site compliance processes
- Strong understanding of drainage, utility coordination, and grading design
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional engineering environment
