Solutions Consultant

Our client, a venture-backed software company, is seeking an experienced geospatial professional to join their growing Solutions Consulting team. Their platform automatically extracts features such as utility poles, signs, curbs, and striping from LiDAR and imagery datasets to produce engineering-ready CAD and GIS deliverables. Surveying, engineering, and GIS teams use it to reduce the time and cost of 3D mapping and deliver projects faster.

This role is ideal for a seasoned surveying or geospatial professional who knows production workflows inside and out and wants to help an entire industry change how data moves from field collection to final deliverable.

You’ll be the primary technical partner for customers from first conversation through long-term adoption, and the in-house geospatial expert for product, engineering, and marketing.

Customer-facing

• Bring survey and geospatial expertise to sales calls alongside Account Executives
• Run tailored technical demos for prospects across verticals and use cases
• Own technical evaluations: get customer project data into the platform, walk production teams through the workflow, and validate fit
• Lead onboarding and training, both remote and onsite
• Serve as the long-term technical advisor as customers scale across regions, business units, and programs
• Present real project applications at trade shows, conferences, webinars, and industry groups
• Introduce the platform to surveying, geospatial, and engineering firms in your network

Internal-facing

• Partner with Marketing on industry content, positioning, sales materials, and business cases
• Advise Engineering, Product, and Design on features, workflows, asset feature types, deliverable representation, and roadmap priorities
• Train internal team members on surveying and geospatial workflows, technologies, and standards
• Build onboarding frameworks, training content, and technical documentation

• 10+ years of surveying or geospatial experience;
  LiDAR data collection and feature extraction expertise strongly preferred
• A track record of driving technology adoption at an engineering or surveying firm
• Proficiency with CAD and GIS platforms used in production (Micro Station, Open Roads Designer, Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS)
• Familiarity with major surveying hardware, software, and industry trends
• Strong understanding of survey data formats and how they connect across the AEC and infrastructure industry
• Clear written and verbal communication, with experience presenting technical solutions to varied audiences
• A consultative, problem-solving mindset
• Comfort in a fast-paced startup environment
