Tax Experienced Associate

Overview

Baker Tilly is a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm providing clients worldwide. Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP and Baker Tilly US, LLP offer professional services through an alternative practice structure in accordance with the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct.

• Deliver tax advisory and compliance services to S‑corporations, partnerships, individuals and corporations ranging from middle‑market to multinational companies.
• Participate in tax research projects, draft IRS responses, and address other tax authority inquiries.
• Work with leaders on special projects in corporate and flow‑through taxation such as accounting methods and ASC 740.
• Develop client recommendations and discuss them with leadership.
• Collaborate with specialty tax practices on complex state, local, high‑net‑worth, international, research & development, and incentive matters.
• Receive on‑the‑job coaching, mentoring, and participate in firm‑wide learning programs.
• Network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients.
• Support a work‑life balance through team outings and social activities.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or law, or a related business degree with sufficient coursework to sit for the CPA and/or Bar exam in the state where considered.
• Outstanding academic performance; preferred GPA 3.0 or above.
• Relevant internship, work experience, and/or involvement with a professional organization.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel.
• Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving.
• Organizational, analytical skills, initiative, adaptability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

The compensation range for this role is $57,460 to $108,930. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
